You may have noticed especially that I did not include hops on the recipe.  For first time brewers, it is a good idea to skip over hops, because the brewing process can get very tricky when they are included.  It is not difficult to include hops, but the wealth of choices and effects in the hop family can make a decision as to the type of hop to use very difficult.
